Now I'm adding Food Therapy to my list when I'm next in New Zealand. Some of my favorite times were visiting credit unions on both islands well over 2 decades ago!
Absolutely, Carol, it is worth seeking it out. Orewa and Red Beach right next door to Silverdale are great "local" places. Orewa especially, lots of little shops and restaurants (reminds me of downtown Edmonds, actually) and a huge gorgeous beach. A fabulous long walk around a preserve too. Not sure if there is a credit union though!
